Frequently asked questions.
How do I sign in?
ooey uses passwordless authentication. Enter your email address and tap “Send magic link.” Check your inbox and tap the link — you’ll be signed in instantly. You can also set up a passkey for even faster sign-in next time.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You’ll be asked to confirm by typing DELETE. This permanently removes your account and all your data within seconds. This cannot be undone.
Is my data private?
Yes. ooey doesn’t run ads, doesn’t sell data, and doesn’t track you. Photos used for ingredient scanning are processed by Google Gemini and are not stored. Read our full privacy policy for details.
Allergens and nutrition.
Recipe, ingredient, and allergen information in ooey is general information. It is not medical or dietary advice.
ooey does not filter recipes for allergens.
There is no setting for your allergies in this version of the app, and nothing in ooey screens a recipe against them. If you are looking for that setting, it is not there — you have not missed it. We would rather tell you plainly than let you assume something is watching.
What this means for you.
Every recipe shows its full ingredient list, and that list is the only allergen information ooey gives you. It is a list of ingredients, not a safety check. It does not speak to how an ingredient was processed, whether a brand had cross-contamination at the factory, what shared equipment was used, or what is happening in your own kitchen. It is our recipe data, not the physical package in your hand.
Recipes generated with AI can also simply be wrong — a wrong ingredient, a missing one, a substitution that does not hold. If you have a food allergy, read the label on the package and decide for yourself. For anything affecting your health, ask a doctor or a dietitian — ooey is not a substitute for either.
If we add allergen filtering later, this page will describe it before it ships, and it will still be a starting point rather than a guarantee.
Nutrition.
ooey does not currently provide nutrition information — no calorie counts, no macronutrients, no dietary suitability ratings. Nothing in the app should be read as a nutrition claim. If we add anything of that kind later, this page will say so before it ships.
A paid subscription would not change any of this. Nothing about allergens or nutrition differs between accounts.
